Case Study
Hiscox Insurance
We have been working with Hiscox Insurance for over 20 years supporting all of the cabling, additions, moves and changes for their sites. In 1993 they were literally blown out of their building which was adjacent to the Baltic Exchange by a terrorist bomb on Friday 10 April, at 9.20pm. We were mobilised within hours, surveyed their prospective new building on Saturday morning, and provided Hiscox with a project plan by Saturday afternoon. The building contract was signed at approximately 2pm Monday afternoon and we were cabling within an hour of the document being signed. We had their entire building cabled and active equipment procured and commissioned ready for their computer systems to be commissioned and ready for operation by Wednesday. Our relationships with our vendors enabled us to contact them even over the weekend to reduce the lead time on getting the installation in and operational.
