Astro provide fully managed and monitored LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi service for Elite Hotels

Four hotels set in stunning locations around the South East of England encompassing fine dining, spa, leisure and business at an impeccable standard. Elite Hotels approached Astro when they were looking for a wireless solution that would provide wireless for guests that had both a free and a paid for option delivering two difference classes of service. Payment information for the higher bandwidth service needed to be captured and processed and, given the age and complexity of the building infrastructure, full time monitoring and alerting needed to be introduced.

Astro opted to propose and deploy a Cisco Meraki wireless solution with many APs throughout the premises all reporting back to a single dashboard with AP based monitoring alerting staff at the hotels as well as Astro’s Service Desk if there were any issues with any of the APs or the cabling serving them.

Astro have then gone on to design and deliver a WAN for Elite that segregates out their corporate traffic and public wifi enabling secure, resilient access to corporate systems as well as delivering business users and conferences up to 100Mbs of internet access at three of their locations.

Astro now provide a full managed service for the WAN, LAN and Wireless solution with full time monitoring and alerting to ensure that a high level of service is provided at all times and their guests and staff have robust and reliable access to the internet or their corporate systems.
